C/Meo Collective Led Us Down A Bright and Bold Garden Path at MBFWA

Last year at Australian Fashion Week, the attendance rate for the C/Meo Collective runway show was quite possibly the highest ever so it was no surprise that this year’s attendance was filling to the brim and most likely the reason why extra seats were added to the set design on the runway to accommodate these numbers.

C/Meo Collective showed their collections ‘Liminal’ and ‘Ornate’ this year at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia.

Their designs were innovative and contemporary and the collections brought together refined lines, staple statement pieces and exaggerated detailing through a bright and bold palette consisting primarily of mustard, pastel pink, forest green and burgundy.

There was a focus on flared silhouettes, with bell sleeves, ruffles and A-line skirts leading the march down the garden-esque runway. Cold-shoulder tops adorned with faux fur gave the collection a luxe vibe, while pleated skirts added a preppy feel.

All in all, the ready-to-wear designs shown in both collections were feminine and beautiful.
