Melbourne’s Maribelle has released the official video for her latest single, ‘I’m A Mess Without You.’
Directed by the team at John Fish (who’ve previously worked with Nai Palm, Kllo and Lucianblomkamp), the video depicts two friends (Briony Farrell and Tahlee Faraday) who find themselves exploring new territory within their relationship, which comes with its own share of internal conflict.
The video references the very autobiographical nature of the song, wherein Maribelle documents the start of a new relationship – her first with a woman – and coming to terms with her sexuality.
“I had a very specific vision for this video because the emotions behind the song were very personal to me. I wanted to capture that terrifying feeling of falling in love for the first time. Everybody involved in the video really understood my vision and I’m so happy with how it turned out!” – Maribelle
