Mr Porter: Paper Plane
Part of a short film campaign by Mr. Porter, Elijah Wood returns to the small screen in ‘Paper Plane’ as a frustrated employee considering his position in the workplace.
Although this short film is a few months old, it is one that I had to share, especially if you’re a fan of this year’s Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Short Film, ‘Paperman’.

Event Review: CARBON Day Two (Part Two)
The breakdown of CARBON Festival has concluded with the final review now up online.
Covering the closure of the Festival with prolific photographers presenting in Forum D, as well as a visual feed of my time in Burn City, the cessation of the weekend was something I was not looking forward to, as it also meant that my time in Melbourne had concluded.
It was truly a bittersweet feeling.

Event Review: CARBON Day Two (Part One)
Last day of the CARBON Festival brought on a bittersweet feeling.
You knew that the end was near but you didn’t necessarily want the weekend to be over. Saturday brought so much to the table. You could only hope that Sunday would bring the same.
Expectations were set, but were they met?

So here is Part One of Day One.

Made in Brooklyn: The Shoemaker
Although I only knew about this series through the final episode, ‘The Shoemaker’, the stories told and illustrated throughout mere minutes of film makes me want to go back and watch the series in its entirety to learn about each of these creators.
The final episode tells the story of shoemaker Frank Catalfumo as he talks about how he got into the business, how the neighbourhood has changed over the past seven decades, and what he’d be doing if he weren’t still mending shoes.
‘Made In Brooklyn’ is a video series about makers, craftspeople, and artisans who are based in the borough; an homage to Brooklyn. The series was created by Dustin Cohen, with endless help from Michael Hurley.
