Concert Review: City and Colour at the Enmore Theatre

A couple of weeks ago on a Monday night, after 12 hours in the office (so much for the 5 to 9 life) and lots of Red Bull in my system, I headed to the Enmore Theatre to watch one of two sold-out side shows of Dallas Green aka City and Colour.

What was the result? A performance that was amazing, intimate, powerful, open, honest, and one that seriously gave me goosebumps.

Book Launch: The Little Book of Anxiety

The night after I arrived back in Sydney from my busy weekend in Melbourne, I was invited to my first book launch. The book was “The Little Book of Anxiety: Confessions from a Worried Life” and the author was Kerri Sackville.

As the title reads, the book is all about dealing with anxiety, but let’s get things straight. This is not one of those self-help books. Sackville’s book reveals honest and hilarious recounts of the all the different moments she’s felt anxious in life.

Event Recap: Carbon Festival 2012 – Part Two

Part Two of this Carbon Festival recap features the Sneaker Freaker Swap Meet, Forums C and D, the two-hour live painting session presented by Ironlak, and just a few words to describe the after party for staff and special guests.

All in all, this year’s festival turned out to be a pretty great experience for me (as it always is in Melbourne) and despite a couple of hiccups, the insider information we learnt from those Forums will always overshadow those rather unfortunate moments in Forum D.
