R&B trio Sonder have released the visuals for their stand-out track, ‘Too Fast’ and we’re so excited to share the visuals and the song itself (if you haven’t had a listen yet) with you.
It’s a moody and introspective soundscape, creating a vibe reminiscent of a classic ’90s R&B jam that we believe you will really enjoy. We can’t get enough! <3
Jarreau Vandal and Olivia Nelson are a blissfully refreshing combination on “Someone That You Love.”
This is Jarreau’s first single of 2017, and it was worth the wait. Plus he is introducing us to London singer/songwriter Olivia Nelson. Win-win.
Though it was only a few years ago that the distribution of music was controlled by only the biggest and most well-known labels, the inspiring hustle of the individuals behind independent record label, Soulection, has quickly become a notable platform and global community of artists, creatives and tastemakers alike. Keeping quality music as their consistent staple ingredient, the LA-based collective now boasts a roster of international artists and producers, a streetwear label, a radio show on Apple‘s Beats 1 station and countless sold out tours and appearances around the globe.
This past weekend, they continued on that journey and brought ‘The Sound of Tomorrow’ to Sydney. Check out our review now.
Music collective Soulection are heading back down under for another exclusive run of shows! Teaming up with The Operatives and Astral People, ‘The Sound of Tomorow’ will feature a star-studded line-up performing over four days in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth over the first weekend in March.

Soulection has always been known to find and push for ‘The Sound of Tomorrow’.
Aside from celebrating their six-year-anniversary last week, their first order of business for 2017 was to release a 12-track compilation of original tracks from their roster of family and friends.
Check out “Promise Once More” now.
Samantha Duenas aka SOSUPERSAM dropped a new track called ‘Just In Case,’ which she debuted as a guest on the Soulection Beats 1 program last weekend.
The track, which pairs her sick vocals over a Justin Timberlake sample, is proof that this is only the beginning of the talented DJ’s promising career as a vocalist.
Listen to it NOW.
It’s taken me a while to post this review about my time with the Soulection crew in Sydney and Melbourne, and to be honest, it’s been ready for a couple of days now but I haven’t been 100% happy with it.
I’ve read through it over and over and I don’t know what else I can change so here’s the best version of what I’ve written. I hope you enjoy the words that are shared and that you’ll be able to picture what happened if you weren’t there. Peace.
Our favourite creative collective SOULECTION are bringing three of their artists/producers back down under next month to play a few shows.
The tour, presented by The Operatives and BBE, will see Joe Kay, The Whooligan and ESTA hit our shores. Make sure you don’t sleep on this one. Click on the pic for all the details.Read More
The 5 to 9 Life team has already had the exciting opportunities of reviewing more than a handful of live gigs in 2016 thanks to the local and international acts that have been in town for such events as Falls Festival, Twilight at Taronga and Laneway Festival.
From the latter, we’ve caught The Internet and Vince Staples perform intimate shows in Sydney, and now we have a review of the highly anticipated sold-out Goldlink show that occurred last Friday night. Read on for the review.
